Strategic Leadership of ICT (Becta/NCSL)

May 18th, 2006 by jbowes

This collection of resources and information about SLICT programs available in the UK consists of case studies of school learning journeys, programs for Primary, Secondary and leadership teams. From the site:

”SLICT focuses on the strategic role of headteachers in leading and developing ICT. “

and from the FAQ’s:

“It is positioned very clearly as a self and peer review learning programme with a range of experiences, inputs and approaches to meet differing learning styles. Self assessment, reflection and planning are key throughout the programme, starting with pre-event self and school reviews and an induction into the talk2learn SLICT community.”

EdNA consultation session in Hobart

May 16th, 2006 by jbowes

I attended this today and found it a very useful way to “top up” on some bits and pieces on the national scene - good job Nancy S. Of particular interest to me at this point in time were:

- from the Flexible Learning Framework - the benchmark project from 2005 - a survey on elearning indicators. I am wondering how translatable this might be to the schools sector http://e-learningindicators.flexiblelearning.net.au/e-learning_indicators.htm

 - a contracted evaluation of EdNA online that used the DVAM (Demand Value Assessment Model)  yielded a result inidicating that the Return on Investment for EdNA onlinis 10:1. Again the report is availalbe online
